 You can book a tour here As I step into  Meteora , I feel awe and reverence. This  UNESCO World Heritage Site  is in Thessaly,  Greece . It has  Greek Orthodox  monasteries on sandstone pillars, over 600 meters high. The name "Meteora" means "suspended in the air," fitting perfectly. The monasteries were once home to hermit monks. Now, they house a few devoted monks and nuns. Out of 24 monasteries, six are still active. Each has its own history and architecture, offering a unique experience. A breathtaking view of the Meteora monasteries perched atop towering rock formations, surrounded by lush green valleys and a dramatic sky at sunset, capturing the serene beauty and spiritual atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
